Ледник Пастерце, Австрия / Glacier to Pastertsa, Austria
Девятикилометровый Пастерце – самый крупный ледник Австрии. Он находится
в Восточных Альпах, на хребте Высокий Тауэрн, у подножия горы
Гросглокнер. Общая площадь ледника – около двадцати квадратных
километров, толщина – сто двадцать метров. Начиная с 1856 года Пастерце
относится к числу тающих ледников. Сокращение его массы связано с
повышением температуры воздуха летом и снижением количества осадков
зимой.

Nine-kilometer to Pastertsa – the largest glacier of Austria. It is in East Alps, on a spine High Tauern, at the foot of the mountain Grosglokner. The total area of a glacier – about twenty square kilometers, thickness – hundred twenty meters. Since 1856 to Pastertsa is among the thawing glaciers. Reduction of its weight is connected with air temperature increase in the summer and decrease in an amount of precipitation in the winter.
