Водопад Нати, Япония./ Nati falls, Japan

В префектуре Вакаяма на полуострове Кии находится высочайший японский водопад – Нати. Он срывается со скального 133-хметрового уступа и низвергается в глубокий 10-тиметровый бассейн у подножия. Основной поток окружен несколькими десятками живописных струй. Стоит ли удивляться, что это место испокон веков считается священным и достойным поклонения.
Еще в древние времена у водопада был возведен синтоистский храм Хиро-дзиндзя. Там же расположен буддийский храм Сэйганто-дзи. Удивительное единение двух религий. Впрочем, для японцев – вполне нормальное явление.
Лучше всего рассмотреть Нати можно со смотровой площадки буддийского храма. Оттуда открывается замечательный вид на природное чудо и рукотворную трехъярусную пагоду. В ясную погоду невозможно оторвать взгляд от стремительно низвергающегося потока. В дождливые месяцы, когда река полноводна, окрестности Нати сотрясаются от непрерывного грохота.
Больше всего туристов собирается возле водопада 14 июля. В этот день в одном из храмов Кумано – городка, расположенного поблизости, отмечается праздник огня Нати – Нати-но-Хай-Мацури. Наиболее интересной и зрелищной является церемония очищения огнем дороги к водопаду – синтоистские священнослужители несут к Хиро-дзиндзе огромные факелы и паланкины.
Водопад Нати не только является объектом поклонения, но и сам считается божеством. По мнению японцев в водопаде обитает священный дух Хиро-гонгэн. Вот уже много веков подряд пилигримы, которых не смущают извилистые горные тропы, приходят поклониться к водопаду.

Most of all tourists gathers near falls on July 14. This day in one of Kumano's temples – the town located nearby the festival of fire of Nati – Nati - but - Hi - Matsuri is celebrated. The most interesting and spectacular is the clarification ceremony fire of the road to falls – Shinto priests bear huge torches and palanquins to Hiro-dzindze.

Nati's falls not only are object of worship, but also itself it is considered a deity. According to Japanese the sacred spirit Hiro-gongen lives in falls. Here already there are a lot of centuries in a row pilgrims who aren't confused by twisting mountain tracks, come to bow to falls.
