She was necessary for blocking mud sat down, Tokachi which is thrown out at a volcanic eruption. The pond located directly at the foot of the flammable mountain still causes bewilderment of scientists who can't explain secret of its unusual green-blue color in any way.
On one of versions, the most true turquoise color Biya is caused being in two and a half kilometers (in the direction on the northwest) by hot springs Platinum; on another – big deposits of aluminum, whose hydroxide gives to water the unique brightness and a saturation.
Depending on weather conditions or a point of supervision also the pond shade Biya fluctuating ranging from dense blue to the pale turquoise changes. The dried birches which are sticking out of the center of a reservoir and a larch give Biya really fantastic look. In the winter the pond becomes covered by a thin ice crust and looks even more charmingly, than in the summer.
