Гора Ай-Петри (1234 м) — одна из живописнейших вершин Главной гряды
Крымских гор. Подъём довольно утомителен, из-за того, что дорога
извивается серпантином (более 800 поворотов). Но об усталости скоро
забываешь, глядя со смотровой площадки на открывшееся побережье от Ялты
до Алупки. Внизу в зелени садов и парков белеют здравницы, дома
курортных посёлков, зелёные холмы и скалы спускаются к морю. Безбрежная
морская синь вдали сливается с небом.
Знаменитые зубцы Ай-Петри снизу выглядят как развалины замка, а вблизи
напоминают зубы огромного дракона. К северо-востоку от зубцов растёт
небольшая тисовая роща. Самому старому дереву более 1000 лет. Здесь
следует заметить, что Ай-Петри — это территория Крымского заповедника,
поэтому здесь также можно встретить диких животных.
