Сюанькун-сы (Hanging Monastery), Китай | Hanging Monastery, China

Китайский монастырь Сюанькун-сы – уникальный храмовый комплекс, относящийся к «висячим» типам архитектурных конструкций.

Основанный в 491-м году нашей эры в китайской провинции Шаньси, вблизи священной горы Хэншань, Сюанькун-сы объединяет в себе представителей трёх религий. Помимо буддистов здесь обосновались также конфуциане и даосисты. Здания монастыря крепятся к горе деревянными сваями. Их задней стенкой служат плотные горные породы. Сюанькун-сы состоит из сорока залов и павильонов и содержит в себе более восьмидесяти священных для восточных народов статуй.
